Abstract
An intake manifold,having integrally a surge tank,, a plurality of intake pipes,to,and a mounting flange,is provided at the mounting flange,with a plurality of fuel injection valves,A subsidiary tank,provided therein with a high pressure fuel tank,and provided outside thereof with a high pressure filter,for temporarily storing a fuel to be supplied to the fuel injection valves,is secured to intake pipes,by means of two bolts,and secured to a cylinder block,by means of two bolts,The high pressure fuel tank,the high pressure filter,and the subsidiary tank,are beforehand assembled to the intake manifold,to make a subassembly and the subassembly is collectively assembled to an engine to thereby reduce the number of assembling steps.
