Abstract
The present invention provides a plug,and receptacle,each having shells,When the connectors,are engaged, the shell,of the receptacle,slides in contact with the shell,of the plug,The steps,of the shell,are positioned beneath the steps,of the shell,so that openings,and,formed in the respective steps,and,are aligned with each other when the connectors are completely engaged with each other. During the process of engagement, the claws,of the latching arms,move along the steps,advance into the openings,by the action of the plate springs,to latch the plug and receptacle together. To disengage, the release sections of the latching arms,are pressed whereupon the engaging members,open so that the claws,exit the openings
