Abstract
The invention provides mevalonate kinase (hereinafter “MVK”) polypeptides and polynucleotides from,encoding mvk polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing mvk polypeptides to screen for antibacterial compounds.
