Abstract
A coagulant which is the reaction product of a trivalent metal salt (eg., FeCl,), excluding chromium salts, an acid phosphorous compound and an aluminum hydroxy chloride, and a process for preparing such coagulant. This coagulant may be effectively used to remove suspended solids and various impurities in most water treatment applications.
