Abstract

A closure assembly for a drinking vessel comprising a lid (,) with a spout (,). A diaphragm valve (,) is mounted on a central spigot (,) of an insert which protrudes from the bottom of the spout (,) and has an enlarged head (,) which provides a sealing surface (,) which cooperates with a bead (,) around a central hole (,) in the diaphragm.
