Abstract
Host cells comprising recombinant vectors encoding the narbomycin polyketide synthase and narbomycin modification enzymes from, can be used to produce narbomycin, picromycin, methymycin, and neomethymycin. Recombinant DNA constructs comprising one or more narbomycin polyketide synthase domains, modules, open reading frames, and variants thereof can be used to produce recombinant polyketide synthases and a variety of different polyketides with application in agriculture, medicine, and animal health.
