Abstract
An inner and outer pressure difference alleviating device for an air tight case (,) is provided including a housing (,) and a cover (,). The cover is adapted to close an opening in housing (,). A diaphragm portion (,) that is made from a flexible material is formed integrally with cover (,) or a side wall of the housing (,). When a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the airtight case (,) is produced by heat generated by electric and electronic components contained in housing (,) diaphragm portion (,) elastically deforms to change the inner volume of airtight case (,) and eliminate the pressure difference between the inside and outside of airtight case (,) automatically, while retaining the air-tightness of the airtight case (,).
