Abstract
A copolymer which can provide an aqueous solution thereof having high viscosity, a cationic high molecular weight flocculating agent comprising the copolymer and a process for producing the copolymer. The copolymer is formed by a process where copolymer units necessary to form the copolymer are reacted with a polyamine in the presence of ammonium chloride and/or a hydrochloride of an amine.
