Abstract
An isolated and essentially purified cell matrix plaque of initial bone formation comprising of &agr;,&bgr;,integrin and rapid assays using such cell matrix plaques to measure potentials of factors, regimens or tissues for stimulation and/or inhibition of bone formation.
