Abstract

A low noise transconductance device having a transconduction comprising of two transconductive elements and a load, the transconduction of the first element equals N*Gm,, the transconduction of the second element equals Gm,/N, and a load having a resistance of 1/Gm,. The output of the first device is coupled to the input of the second element, and the load is coupled in parallel to the output of the first element. The accumulative transconduction of the device equals Gm,, and the noise generated by the device is lower than the noise generated by a single transconduction device having a gain of Gm,. N>2.
