Abstract

A method of preventing or reducing chemotherapy-induced alopecia is disclosed which comprises administering to a host subjected to chemotherapy which induces alopecia an effective amount of vitamin D,or derivative or analog or active metabolite thereof. The amount is sufficient to affect prevention or reduction of chemotherapy-induced alopecia.
