Abstract
A valve (,B) is provided is provided for regulating the pressure differential between a high pressure side (,) and a low pressure side (,) of a fluid system component (,). The valve (,B) utilizes a damping washer (,) to restrict the flow of fluid from a valve bore (,) in response to translation of a valve spool (,) in the valve bore (,). The damping washer (,) includes an aperture (,) that is piloted on a valve stem (,) extending from the valve spool (,). The damping washing (,) is biased against an open end (,) of the valve bore (,) by a spring (,) engaged between the damping washer (,) and a spring seat (,) that is engaged with the valve stem (,). A separate spring (,) is provided to bias the valve spool (,) against the high pressure fluid acting on the valve spool (,).
