Abstract
An electronic throttle control system having a housing,with a motor,, throttle valve,, gear mechanism,, and failsafe mechanism. A main spring member,positioned between the housing,and a gear mechanism,, which in turn is attached to the throttle valve shaft,, biases the throttle plate,towards the closed position. A spring-biased default mechanism,biases the throttle plate,from its closed position to a default or “limp-home” position.
