Abstract
A plasma display device including: an upper substrate provided with address electrodes; a dielectric material and a fluorescent material coated on the lower surface of the upper substrate; a lower substrate provided with scan electrodes and common electrodes; and a discharge gas of pure He or a gas mixture of more than 99.5 vol % He and the balance of at least one gas selected from the group consisting of Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe and N,, and hermetically sealed between the upper and lower substrates.
