Abstract
A transmission case comprises first, second and third casings,and,, which are connected side by side in this order from an engine. An input shaft,and a countershaft,with speed change gear trains and clutches are disposed in a first room,which is defined by the first and second casings, and the both ends of these shafts,and,are supported rotatably in partition walls,and,which are provided with the first and second casings, respectively. In this condition, the side of the countershaft,which is located away from the engine extends into a second room,defined by the second and third casings, in which room, an output shaft,is disposed. In addition, a constant mesh type gear train is disposed in the second room,for power transmission between the countershaft,and the output shaft,. Furthermore, the end of the output shaft,which is located toward the engine is supported rotatably by the second casing while the end of the countershaft,and the side of the output shaft,which are located away from the engine are supported rotatably by the third casing.
