Abstract
A shaped cord (,) is postformed in the shape of a frame extruded onto a glass (,) and is slightly curved in the direction of the length of shaped cord (,). A forming mold (,) is used in a postforming operation, with lateral edges (,) that are slightly above the surface of shaped cord (,). This avoids the creation of imprints in the form of lines or edges on the shaped cord, and a smooth transition is achieved between the postformed length of the shaped cord that attaches thereto.
