Abstract
A compression or expansion two-phase helical mixed flow impeller (,) comprising one or more vanes (,) mounted on a boss, a cover (,) or fairing mounted on the outer part of the vanes, the assembly being arranged in a housing (,). The cover (,) has at least one of its ends corresponding to the inlet and/or the outlet of the impeller, a slop whose value is determined so as to limit leaks between the inlet and the outlet of the impeller.
