Abstract

A system (,) for anchoring a vehicle frame (,) to a platform (,) utilizes a variety of securement components (,) to secure the vehicle frame (,) from movement at desired locations while the vehicle frame (,) is being aligned with pulling forces applied by pulling towers (,). The securement components (,) are held on cross beams (,) which mount to anchoring stands (,), and the anchoring stands (,) are attached to the platform (,). The securement components include a rail vise (,), a C-channel clamp (,), a leaf spring shackle (,), L-clamps (,), a slide plate (,), a hole adapter (,), a tie-down ratchet assembly (,), and a turnbuckle assist (,). The rail vise has two guide channels (,) which slidably receive guide pins (,) therein. The guide pins (,) extend from a front movable clamp leg (,). The leaf spring shackle (,) includes an L-shaped base plate (,) and a clamp member (,), which cooperate to clamp a mounting bracket (,) of a leaf spring (,) therebetween. The hold adapter (,) includes a reference hole insert (,) sized and configured to fit in a reference hole (,) of the vehicle frame (,) with slip clearance.
