Abstract

Stereoisomers of carbocyclic amine compounds such as amino tetralins are separated by subjecting a mixture of the stereoisomers to reaction with an acylating agent in the presence of the enzyme, lipase which effect selective acylation of one of the stereoisomers to form a separable amide, whilst leaving the other stereoisomer substantially unchanged.
