Abstract
A valve seat insert, for use in combination with a cylinder head,. Insert,is disposed within a cavity, formed within cylinder head, and includes several notches, which cooperate with surface, within cavity,to form a plurality of passages or channels, which allow fuel,to freely pass between surface, and insert,. Channels, are effective to substantially prevent fuel, from becoming trapped between insert, and cylinder head,, thereby preventing the formation of corrosive acids and byproducts.
