Abstract
In a compressor for compressing a gaseous fluid, a control valve (,) is arranged for controlling an open area of a suction passage (,) which is for introducing the gaseous fluid. In a first state where the gaseous fluid has a relatively low flow rate in the suction passage, the open area of the suction passage is reduced. On the other hand, in a second state where the gaseous fluid has a relatively high flow rate in the suction passage, the open area is increased.
