Abstract
In case of forming a color image by using a plurality of kinds of inks (for example, dark yellow and light yellow) of a same color system and different densities, it is an object to embed addition information into an input image while suppressing a deterioration in image quality of the input image as much as possible. To accomplish this object, in one embodiment of the invention, the addition information is added to the input image by using anyone of the plurality of kinds of inks having the optimum density.
