Abstract

A method implemented according to the invention relates to a method including the conversion between of logical requirements and physical requirements, including such devices as computer drive arrays, controller/storage box combinations, and conversion of virtual disk drive heights to physical disk drive heights. The methods of the invention can be applied to the configuration of most hierarchical system.
