Abstract

In a magnetic head slider, in which a slider film is formed on the surface of a substrate or on the surface of a sacrificial layer provided on the substrate so that the substrate or the substrate and the sacrificial layer are separate from the slider film, in an MR head on the inductive layer on the track of a medium, there is provided a rotary mechanism, supported by the stationary section,of the slider film so that a portion,of the slider film can be rotated on a surface substantially parallel to the surface of the recording medium and, in the movable section,of the rotating mechanism, there is provided an opposing magnetic pole of the magnetic head element, which is opposed to at least the recording medium.
