Abstract

Amorphous spherical silica microparticulates having a specific surface area of 5-50 m,/g and a particle size distribution of 5-1,000 nm are added to toner particles to form an electrostatic image developer which has improved fluidity and cleaning characteristics. On account of the minimized impurity content of the spherical silica microparticulates, the developer is effective for high-quality and high-speed duplication.
