The safety device contains at least one flyweight element (,) provided at the gearing end, at least one brake device (,) as well as at least one control device (,) actuating the brake device (,), and at least one movement/rpm sensor (,) provided in the region of the flyweight element (,) and connected to the control (,), device wherein load-independent braking of the main drive shaft (,) is achievable by the brake device (,) on the basis of signals received from the sensor (,).
