Abstract

A hole-injecting material for an organic EL device, having excellent hole-injecting capability and durability and having the formula [I], [II] or [III] specified in claim,and an organic electroluminescence device obtained by forming either a light-emitting layer or a plurality of organic compound thin layers including the light-emitting layer between a pair of electrodes composed of a cathode and an anode, wherein at least one layer contains the above material.
