Abstract

The present invention relates to a negatively chargeable toner comprising fine toner particles which contain a thermoplastic resin, a colorant, and a specified compound; the toner externally admixed with inorganic fine particles which have been treated with a hydrophobicizer and a silane coupling agent having a cationic group and/or a silicone oil having a cationic group, and which have a blow-off charge quantity (Q) of &minus;800<Q<0 &mgr;C/g relative to iron oxide particles.
