Abstract

A guide rail (,) of the coordinate guide (,) is mounted on the machine frame to be movable in one coordinate direction (y) and movably carries at least one workpiece support (,) in the other coordinate direction (x) The guide rail (,) projects in the direction (x) beyond at least one side of the work table (,) to provide an overhang facing the work table (,) on which is provided a workpiece support. Between the overhang of the guide rail (,) and the machine frame is provided a self-supporting plate,reinforcing element which is movable with the guide rail (,) to support it on the machine frame against distortion and displacement and its surface provides workpiece support.
