Abstract

In order to simplify operations of cleaning an optical connector (,), especially the female part (,) of the latter, provision is made, upon disconnection, for ferrules (,) set into the female cavities (,) of the socket to be brought flush (,) with the socket by sliding a sleeve (,) which constitutes it. It is demonstrated that, by acting in this way, it is possible to carry out more frequent and simpler cleaning operations on the optical connectors.
