Abstract
An optical cable with one or more fiber optics conductors (,) that are located in a strand (,) with a polypropylene envelope or in a polypropylene support element (,), as well as with an outer jacket (,). The polypropylene contains a fire-retardant additive, the basis of which is an ammonium polyphosphate, and the jacket (,) is made of a halogen-free, flame-resistant material.
