Abstract

The present invention provides a safe and effective inhibitor of,colonization in the stomach and a food containing the inhibitor. The inhibitor of the present invention comprises as an active ingredient a mucin, especially a mucin from milk of a cow or a mucin from albumen of an egg and is useful for the prevention or treatment of diseases caused by infection of,such as peptic ulcers.
