Abstract

A method for recovering nitrate ions as nitric acid from nuclear industry effluents by thermally decomposing the nitrate ions in solution, and recovering the NO,vapors generated by the heat treatment in an aqueous medium. The resulting nitric acid may be recycled in the nuclear industry.
