Abstract
A safety razor blade unit includes a hair pulling member (,) located immediately in front of the cutting edge of a blade (,), the hair pulling member (,) having slots (,) through which the hairs pass defined by a series of elements (,). The edges of the elements (,) which define the slots (,) are formed to notch the hairs as they pass through the slots, and trailing end portions (,) of the elements (,) are inclined to guide the hairs to follow a path for pulling the hairs from the skin just before they are cut through by the blade.
