Abstract

To decode voice data coded in a coding system on a specific standard (for example, ADPCM or a different standard), the voice data is previously sorted by a data sorter, and is stored in a second data storage,. Voice data read from a third data storage,is decoded by a decoder, and is converted from parallel data into serial data by a parallel/serial data converter,. The resultant data is transferred to a D/A converter, whereby the voice data coded on one standard and the voice data coded on a different standard can be decoded and transferred to the D/A converter by circuit change on a small scale without the need for a separate voice control system for each coding system.
