Abstract
An annular-shaped heat exchanger, provided with a high-temperature fluid passage inlet,at one end in the axial direction and a low-temperature fluid passage inlet,at the other end in the axial direction is supported inside a cylindrical outer casing, via a heat exchanger supporting ring,. The heat exchanger supporting ring, connecting a low-temperature section near the low temperature fluid passage inlet,of the heat exchanger, and a rear flange,of the outer casing,is formed by bending a plate member in a cross-sectionally step shape so that it can readily undergo elastic deformation to offset the thermal expansion of the heat exchanger,. This ensures positive sealing between the high-temperature fluid passage inlet, and the low-temperature fluid passage inlet,of the heat exchanger, while minimizing the thermal stress occurring in the heat exchanger, and the outer casing,. The heat exchanger supporting ring, also has a function of partitioning between a combustion gas passage inlet, and an air passage inlet
