Abstract
A display device comprises a pair of opposed soda-lime glass substrates. A chemically reinforced layer having a thickness of 20 &mgr;m or less is disposed on the surface of at least one of the opposing soda-lime glass substrates. An electrode is disposed on opposed surfaces of the soda-lime glass substrates, and a display material is disposed between the pair of opposing soda-lime glass substrates.
