Abstract
A vehicle body structure is provided to transmit a suspension input to framework members of a vehicle effectively. The vehicle body structure includes an air box,, front-pillar inner members,on both sides of the air box,, front-pillar outer members,and hood ridges,. Each hood ridge,has a upper hood ridge member,formed to extend along a fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle. The front-pillar inner member,has a pillar-inner vertical wall,along the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle, an air-box socket,and an air-box joint flange,for connection with the air box,. The upper hood ridge member,has a vertical wall,formed with an opening,and a width-directional vertical wall,formed at a rear part of the member,. The front-pillar outer member,has a notch,formed for engagement with the upper hood ridge member,. The air box,is provided with a flange,for connection with the air-box socket,and a joint surface to be piled on an air-box joint flange
