Abstract

A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus which allows a reduction in the necessary space by attaching a rotary head cylinder unit (,) onto a chassis,through leaf springs (,) using set screws (,). The rotary head cylinder unit (,) can be fixed onto the chassis (,) with a certain load without causing distortion of the rotary head cylinder unit. Integration of two or more leaf springs (,) improves efficiency in assembling the apparatus and reduces the number of components.
