Abstract
There is provided a recording medium comprising a substrate and an ink-receiving layer containing alumina hydrate formed thereon, wherein the alumina hydrate is present unoriented in the ink-receiving layer and a diffraction intensity fluctuation &dgr; in a diffraction pattern is not more than 5%, when irradiating an electron beam to a cross section of the ink-receiving layer.
