Abstract
A longitudinally elongated parallel-arrangement of contact pieces are each mounted in an insulating housing of an electric connector. The parallel arrangement of contact pieces (,) has a longitudinal carrier strip (,) integrally connected thereto. The contact pieces have transverse connections (,) preformed in the vicinity of their tails to connect adjacent contact pieces. Gangs of parallel-connected contact pieces can be easily made simply by cutting and removing selected transverse connections.
