Abstract

An oily composition having excellent storability and forming no precipitate of an ingredient selected from the group of gelatin and gum arabic during the storage for a long period of time is provided. This composition is composed of a solid phase comprising an effective substance selected from the group consisting of a water-soluble substance and water-dispersible substance and 50 to 4,000 parts by weight, for 100 parts by weight of the effective substance, of the ingredient, and an oil phase comprising an oily component and an emulsifier, wherein the solid phase in the form of fine particles having an average particle diameter of not larger than 5 &mgr;m is dispersed in the oil phase, the water content of the solid phase is not higher than 30% by weight and the water content of the whole composition is not higher than 20% by weight.
