Abstract
The invention relates to stable trimer isopropoxyalane of composition H,Al,(OiPr),, wherein iPr is a (CH,),CH radical. The invention also relates to a method for producing stable trimer isopropoxyalane, wherein AlH,is reacted with Al(OiPr),or isopropanol in a molar ratio of 5:4 or 3:4 in a solvent or solvent mixture. The stable trimer isopropoxyalane is particularly suitable for use as a reducing agent in organic and inorganic synthesis, as a source for aluminium or aluminium oxide in the electronics or ceramics industry or to produce pigments.
