Abstract

The landing door of an elevator is opened by the opening movement of the car door and closed by the closing movement of the car door by using a door coupler (,) attached to the car door. The door coupler has coupling elements (,) designed to engage a counterpart (,) attached to the landing door. The door coupler (,) is moved in the direction of the car door movement to align it with the counter element (,).
