Abstract

The pinion (,) on the pin shaft (,) and/or the pinion shaft bearings to either side of the pinion and/or the pinion shaft pillow blocks (,) are supported by elastically deformable components (,) so as to automatically adapt radially in an elastically compliant manner to variations in the meshing of the pinion with the rim gear on the driven rotary drum of a tube mill or the like.
