A multi-stage side-channel pump (,) in particular for fuel for a motor vehicle, having at least first blade chambers (,) of a precursor stage (,) and second blade chambers (,) of a main stage (,). The side-channel pump (,) has an electric motor (,) for driving an impeller (,). The electric motor (,) has a rotor (,) and a stator (,). The first blade chambers (,) of the precursor stage (,) and the second blade chambers,of the main stage (,) are integrated with the impeller (,). The impeller (,) can also form the rotor (,), making it possible to produce an extremely shallow side-channel pump (,). This pump is employed preferably for fuel delivery in gasoline injection to an internal combustion engine.
