Abstract
The invention relates to a braking device (,) having a spindle gear (,) for actuating a friction brake (,), a gear drive (,) for driving the spindle gear (,) and having an electric motor (,) for driving the gear drive (,). For safety reasons, the invention proposes a second electric return motor (,) for releasing the friction brake (,). Particularly when the two electric motors (,) are connected to mutually independent power supplies, this has the advantage that the friction brake (,), if one of the two electric motors (,) or one of the two power supplies fails, can be released with the other electric motor (,).
