Abstract

For an automatic transmission a starter interlock system is proposed in which an electric position switch (,) and a starter switch (,) are located within the transmission. By moving the ignition key from the zero position to the position I, an electronic transmission controls system (,) is activated, which supplies the position switch (,) and the starter switch (,) with current.
