Abstract
An axial piston machine (,) which includes a cylinder block (,) having cylinder bores (,) in which pistons (,) are movably guided, with the pistons (,) being supported on an inclined or wobble plate (,) in order to perform a lifting movement. The axial piston machine (,) further includes a pivot device (,) for varying the inclination of the inclined or wobble plate (,) by pivoting about a pivot axis (,). Provided is a damping element (,) which includes a damping piston (,) which acts on the inclined or wobble plate (,) and is movably disposed in a damping cylinder (,) which is connected to a pressure fluid reservoir (,) via a throttle element (,) and a non-return valve (,) is disposed parallel thereto. The non-return valve (,) enables pressure fluid to flow in an unthrottled manner from the pressure fluid reservoir (,) into the damping cylinder (,) and prevents the pressure fluid from flowing out of the damping cylinder (,) in an unthrottled manner by bypassing the throttle element (,). In this way, a damped pivoting movement of the inclined or wobble plate (,) is brought about.
