Abstract
An electronic throttle control system having a housing,with a motor,, throttle valve,, gear mechanism,, and failsafe mechanism,. A spring member,attached between the housing,and a gear member,attached to the throttle valve shaft,biases the throttle plate,towards the closed position. A spring-biased plunger member,biases the throttle plate,from its closed position to a default or “limp-home” position.
